NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – Authorities said four people were hurt in a multi-car crash on the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn.
Nearly a dozen cars were involved in the crash that happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the eastbound HOV lanes near Sixth Avenue.

The damages ranged from minor fender benders to major damage. A cab was actually tossed onto the median and needed to be removed with a forklift.
The crash caused major traffic delays in the area.
Fire officials said the victims were taken to a local hospital. All the injuries appeared minor.
No word on what sparked the crash.
